Just because you've picked your provider doesn't mean the search is over. Like any ISP, Telstra has a range of plans and bundles, all with different strengths and weaknesses. We've compared Telstra's regular broadband pricing next to its home phone + broadband bundles to help make things a little easier.
Telstra Home Broadband pricing includes an active phone line, even if you don't use it. The good news is that you aren't paying for any call inclusions, so it's cheaper per GB.
If you want that super-fast 100Mbps Telstra HFC cable then you'll need to fork out an extra $20 per month on top of the regular plan pricing. Otherwise it's either ADSL2+, or NBN-ready (if you're lucky enough to be in an NBN area).

|100Mbps Cable||$20 extra per month||$20 extra per month||$20 extra per month|
|Min. cost over 24 months||$1955||$2435||$2915|
Home Bundles offer broadband access with home phone landline call inclusions. The lowest-tier bundle only offers calls to local numbers, but the largest three give you unlimited calls to local and national landlines.
Even better, the 200GB and 500GB plans also include unlimited calls to mobiles, making them significantly more useful.

*minus $20 per month for new home broadband customers for the life of the plan. That comes to $480 over 24 months.
It's really up to you whether you go with Home Broadband, or a Home Bundle. If you make a lot of calls from your home landline then the choice is clear, but that's less common than it once was. A lot of mobile phone plans have generous call inclusions these days, you might be better off using your mobile and saving some cash.
Telstra also offers its Supreme bundles, which include a Foxtel subscription. We've already covered and compared these to the closer-in-appeal Triple Play home broadband bundles on offer from Foxtel itself.
